Points are accumulated at USA BMX events to obtain a maximum total points. To be eligible for a national title a rider must complete 4 digital state series submissions, 1 regional score, and 1 national score.

In the event a rider chooses not to participate in a regional event, a national score can be exchanged for regional point value. For clarity, a rider can meet the minimum requirement with 4 digital events and 2 national events.
Points are calculated using a simple 1,2,3,4 method giving single points to quadruple points based on the event type.
